Rick Schultz, CEO of Spectrum Surgical, and a nationally recognized author, lecturer and consultant on surgical instrument processing and the repair process, conducted the program. Schultz was twice named Educator of the Year: in 2002 by the International Association and in 2006 by the American Hospital Association. In August, 2007, he was chosen as one of the 30 Most Influential Leaders in Healthcare Sterile Processing by Healthcare Purchasing News.
Instrument University was co-sponsored by IPC and Resurrection Health Care, Chicago. Another program is planned for early 2012 which will be co-hosted by Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Details will be posted on the IPC Events Calendar in the near future.
